Focus for February: Feedback Mechanisms and Body Systems
|
For Wednesday, 2/20/19 In class Friday we finished discussing osmoregulation in animals. You are responsible for strategies that animals use to maintain water balance and eliminate highly toxic nitrogenous wastes. You should be able to predict the strategy from a set of conditions and understand the functions of the layers of the amniotic egg (yolk, amnion, allantois, and chorion). This coming week we will focus on regulation and homeostasis in plants so please do the following: 1. If you aren't comfortable w/ basic plant evolution and organization watch Bozeman: Land Plant Characteristics and / or Plant Structure 2. Remember Ch. 35 MB is due tonight. 3. Watch Bozeman: Plant Nutrition and Transport, Ch. 36, and do MB Ch. 36 4. Fill out the handout of the same title that you received in class yesterday. It is attached to the right for those who were absent. 4. For Friday 2/22/19, use information in ch. 39 to fill out the table on the back of the green sheet (The Endocrine System) on plant hormones.
